In an effort to maximize the resources of the police departments by reducing excessive false alarms, many municipalities have enacted an alarm ordinance to establish reasonable expectations of alarm users and to ensure that alarm users are held responsible for their use of alarm systems. If you are required to register with your municipality or need to update any information with the police department, it is important you do so to be in compliance.
